We Continue On...

Hi Friends...

Mom's home health therapists have all been out to see her and it looks like her therapy is in motion. It's not as rigorous as when she was at Riverview. I don' t know if she likes that or not. She certainly wishes her progress were a bit swifter. She tries to say everything now and with the increased complexity comes a little more difficulty. She thinks her talking is worse. I don't think it is...she's just attempting to say so much more!

Fishers UMC has taken over the meals this week. Thanks to Whispering Woods (Mom/Dad's friends in the subdivision) for taking them food last week... Wow! You guys are good in the kitchen! I was lucky enough to sample some of the food.

Well, please just pray that Mom will find joy in living and that she will recognize what a BLESSING she is to all of us. Dad is so tickled to have her home. I'm so thankful that I can bounce over for lunch or after school. We all are thanking God that we still have our Mom to lend a listening ear, laugh with, and enjoy her presence. Right now, life is more of a struggle for her but I'm hoping that soon it will be a little easier. It certainly is a "new normal" that we are adjusting to.

Again, thanks for your prayers! I thank God for all of you. Much love... Audi

Audi ... I relish coming back to read your updates on your mom. It gives me specifics about which I can pray - and I do so when I come here to your blogsite.

I know that your mother is experiencing that twilight zone of recovery when trying to do more complex things, with some degree of failure, makes it seem like things are worse - when the measurements (from a pro like you) indicate she's actually making progress.

Tell LaDonna that the best hitters in baseball were generally the ones who struck out the most (like Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron). They were the best home run hitters because they were willing to swing the hardest and take the most risks at the plate. Tell your mom, from your former SLP "boss," that she needs to keep swinging for the fences ... that she'll begin to see more home runs for the effort. ...

Blessings from the Berry Patch

Kelli...

Thanks!!!

Gig... Just hit the link on the Right. Go down to FILES... hit the square picture that is labeled God of our Fathers. Yes, for some wierd reason it said Funeral March, but it does play your trombone trio when you double click on it!

Thanks for your reply. But it doesn't work for me. I get to the picture and the words "God of our Fathers", click on the picture and I get a narrow strip up in the upper left that has the name of the song followed with wma and at the end of the strip it says view 3. But you can't open that.
I have e-mailed with your Dad and we are stumped. Sorry. I can get it through Box Net but not through the Blog. Gig
